Lisa Glaser

Guest Artist / Transition Studio Instructor

"My work is a humorous look at everyday life. I enjoy the balance between sculpture and cartooning. Often relying on satire and subtle innuendos. I can only hope that the viewer can share the total range of humor, joy and laughter that I and those around me feel as each work is finished."

About the Artist:
Lisa Glaser has been forming satires from clay for over 30 years. Her style of 3D cartooning runs the gamut from political to personal. She is often compared to Gary Larsen's "The Far Side" works. Glaser's own interpretation of individual experiences are far more intricate and detailed.Looking deep into her form of humor, the viewer finds more than a pun or joke. He or she is treated to a lighter look, one that enriches the life experience and lightens the load of every day experiences.
