Missy graduated from Ringling College of Art and Design in 2006 with her BFA in Photography and Digital Imaging. That same year she moved to NYC and began interning at the Yossi Milo Gallery then was hired at the Nancy Hoffman Gallery where she worked as the Registrar. In 2008 Missy began working as an artist assistant to Gregory Colbert’s traveling museum, Ashes and Snow. After assisting in the studio and the exhibition at the Zocollo Square in Mexico City, Missy took a break and focused on her photographic works. That year her portrait series titled The Basement was exhibited at Art Basel and she was published in Day Four Magazine out of Russia. Other publications also include, CMYK, F-Stop Magazine, American Photo, Carpaccio Magazine, JPEG Magazine and The Emerging Guide to Artists 2010. She has a photographic story coming out in Day Four Magazine’s Modern Love issue and she will show her portrait series titled Pairing Off, in December 2011 a the Print Space in London.
